If the vertices of ΔABC are A=(2,3,5), B=(-1,3,2), C=(3,5,-2), then the area of the ΔABC (in sq. units) is

Solution

Given:

A(2,3,5), B(-1,3,2), C(3,5,-2)

Now,

OA=2i^+3j^+5k^

OB=-i^+3j^+2k^

OC=3i^+5j^-2k^

Now, 

AB=OB-OA

       =-3i^-3k^

Similarly, AC=i^+2j^-7k^

Now,

AB×AC=i^j^k^-30-312-7

                 =6i^-24j^-6k^

 Area of triangle is =12AB×AC

                               =1236+36+576

                                =6482=92 sq. units
