If the curve, y = y x represented by the solution of the differential equation 2 x y 2 - y d x + x   d…

If the curve, y=yx represented by the solution of the differential equation 2xy2-ydx+x dy=0, passes through the intersection of the lines, 2x-3y=1 and 3x+2y=8, then |y1| is equal to ___ .

Solution

2xy2-ydx+xdy=0

2xy2dx-ydx+xdy=0

2xdx=ydx-xdyy2=dxy

Now integrate

x2=xy+c

Now point of intersection of lines are 2,1.

4=21+c  c=2

x2=xy+2

Now y1=-1

|y1|=1
