If one root of the equation i x 2 - 2 ( i + 1 ) x + ( 2 - i ) = 0 is ( 2 - i ) , then the other root is

If one root of the equation ix2-2(i+1)x+(2-i)=0 is (2-i), then the other root is
  1. -i
  2. 2+i
  3. i
  4. 2-i

Solution

Given

ix2-2(i+1)x+(2-i)=0

Let the roots be 2-i & α

 (2 - i)×α = 2 - ii

α = 1i

= 1 × ii2

= i-1 = -i
