We have, fx=cot-1xx-x-x2

Differentiating both sides w.r.t. x, we get
f'x=-11+xx-x-x22·ddxxx-x-x2

f'x=-24+xx-x-x2·ddxxx-x-x

f'x=-2xx+x-x2·ddxexlogx-e-xlogx

f'x=-2xx+x-x2×exlogx·ddxxlogx-e-xlogx·ddx-xlogx

f'x=-2xx+x-x2xx1+logx+x-x1+logx

f'x=-21+logxxx+x-x

Put x=1, then we get

f'1=-21+1=-1
