If $\overline{A B}=(2 \hat{i}+3 \hat{j}-\hat{k})$ and $A(1,2,-1)$ is the given point, then the coordinates of $B$ are
- (2,4,1)
- (3,5,2)
- (3,5,-2)
- (2,4,-1)
Solution
Let $B(x, y, z)$ then $\overrightarrow{A B}=(x-1) \hat{i}+(y-2) \hat{j}+(z+1) \widehat{k}$
$\begin{aligned}
& \Rightarrow x-1=2, y-2=3 \text { and } z+1=-1 \\
& \Rightarrow x=3, y=5 \text { and } z=-2 \\
& \Rightarrow B \equiv(3,5,-2)
\end{aligned}$
