Solution

$\therefore \quad$ The work done in moving a charge q , $\mathrm{W}=\mathrm{q} \Delta \mathrm{~V}$
For equipotential surfaces, $\Delta \mathrm{V}=0$ $\therefore \quad \mathrm{W}=0$
