If A denotes the sum of all the coefficients in the expansion of 1-3x+10x2n and B denotes the sum of all the coefficients in the expansion of 1+x2n, then :
  1. A=B3
  2. 3 A=B
  3. B=A3
  4. A=3 B

Solution

We have,

A=Sum of the coefficients in the expansion of

1-3x+10x2n=(1-3+10)n=(8)n=(2)3n

(putting x=1)

Now, B=Sum of the coefficients in the expansion of

1+x2n=(1+1)n=2n

Clearly, A=B3.
