If 2 , 1 , 1 are roots of the equation x 3 - 4 x 2 + 5 x - 2 = 0 , then the roots of x + 1 3 3 - 4 x + 1 3 2…

If 2,1,1 are roots of the equation x3-4x2+5x-2=0, then the roots of x+133 -4x+132+5x+13-2=0
  1. 73,43,43
  2. 53,23,23
  3. -53,-23,-23
  4. -73,-43,-43

Solution

If 2,1,1 are roots of the equation x3-4x2+5x-2=0

Putting 2, 1, 1 in the equation we get:

23+4×22+5×2-2=0;

13+4×12+5×1-2=0;

13+4×12+5×1-2=0;

To find the roots of second equation we will subtract 13 from the roots of the first equation,

So, the roots are 2-13, 1-13, 1-1353,23,23

x+133 -4x+132+5x+13-2=0

Putting 53,23,23 in the equation we get

23+4×22+5×2-2=0;

13+4×12+5×1-2=0;

13+4×12+5×1-2=0;

Which satisfies the equation.

Hence, 53,23,23 are the roots of the new equation.
