If 1+2+C149+C249+.+C4949C250+C450+..+C5050 is equal to 2n.m, where m is odd, then n+m is equal to _____ .

Solution

Let I=1+1+C049+C149++C4949C250+C450++C5050

As C049+C149++C4949=249

and C050+C250++C5050=249

C250+C450+.+C5050=249-1

 I=1+249+1249-1=298

Now comparing I=2nm we get, m=1 and n=98

So, m+n=99
