Given,
I=∫0π5cosx1+cosxcos3x+cos2x+cos3xcos3x1+5cosxdx ....1
Now using the property ∫abfxdx=∫abfa+b-xdx we get,
⇒I=∫0π5-cosx1+cosxcos3x+cos2x+cos3xcos3x1+5-cosxdx ....2
Now adding above equations we get,
2I=∫0π1+cosxcos3x+cos2x+cos3xcos3xdx
Now using the property ∫02afxdx=2∫aafxdx when fx is even
⇒2I=2∫0π21+cosxcos3x+cos2x+cos3xcos3xdx
⇒I=∫0π21+cosxcos3x+cos2x+cos3xcos3xdx .....3
⇒I=∫0π21+sinx-sin3x+sin2x-sin3xsin3xdx ....4
Now adding equation 3 & 4 we get,
⇒2I=∫0π23+cos4x+cos3xcos3x-sin3xsin3xdx
⇒2I=∫0π23+cos4x+cos3x+3cosx4cos3x-sin3x3sinx-sin3x4dx
⇒2I=∫0π23+cos4x+14+34cos4xdx
⇒2I=134×π2+74sin4x40π2
⇒I=13π16,
Now on comparing with kπ16, we get k=13
