When chloromethane react with reactant (A), it will displace sodium metal and formNaCl salt. It is nucleophilic substitution reaction via $\mathrm{S}_{\mathrm{N}} 2$ mechanism. It will form ether in the final product namely 2-methoxy-2-methylbutane $(B)$.
