Ziegler-Natta catalyst $\left(\mathrm{TiCl}_4+\mathrm{Et}_3 \mathrm{Al}\right)$ is used for the preparation of high-density polythene. Branching reduces the density so high-density polythene has low degree of branching. HDPE is chemically inert and is prepared in the temperature range of $333 \mathrm{~K}$ to $343 \mathrm{~K}$.
