a) CASTRATION: Castration is surgical removal of testis.
b) HYSTERECTOMY: Removal of the uterus (hystera) is called as hysterectomy.
c) OOPHORECTOMY: Removal of the ovary is called as oophorectomy.
d) VASECTOMY: It is temporary method of sterilization in males. In this method vas deferens are cut and tied both the ends under minor surgical operation.
e) TUBECTOMY: This is a method of female sterilization. It involves surgical removal of a small portion of each fallopian tube. A small incision is made into the lower abdominal cavity and a suture is tied around the fallopian tube.
