How many values of magnetic quantum number are possible for each value of azimuthal quantum number?

Solution

If azimuthal quantum number is $\ell$ then magnetic quantum number will be from $-\ell$ to $+\ell$ including zero. Number of values of magnetic quantum number $=2 \ell+1$
