Given below are two statements. Statement I: Liquids A and B form a non-ideal solution with negative deviation. Solution

In case of negative deviations from raoult's law, the intermolecular attractive forces between $\mathrm{A}-\mathrm{A}$ and $\mathrm{B}-\mathrm{B}$ are weaker than those between $A-B$ and leads to decrease in vapour pressure resulting in negative deviations. In reverse osmosis the applied pressure must be higher than the osmotic pressure of solution. Hence Statement I is incorrect but II is correct.
