The equilibrium shifts in forward direction:
- by increasing the concentration of
- by decreasing the pressure
- by decreasing the concentrations of and
- by increasing pressure and decreasing temperature
Solution
It is exothermic reaction due to this for this reaction equilibrium constant is inversely proportional to the temperature.
By increasing the pressure equilibrium will shift towards the lesser number of gaseous moles. Due to this, low temperature and high pressure will be the favourable for the forward direction.
