Find the gravitational force between two stones, each of mass $2 \mathrm{~kg}$ and separated by a distance $1 \mathrm{~m}$ in vacuum.

- $6.675 \times 10^{-11} \mathrm{~N}$
- $2.67 \times 10^{-10} \mathrm{~N}$
Solution
Given, masses of two stones, $m=2 \mathrm{~kg}$
Separation, $d=1 \mathrm{~m}$
Since, gravitational force, $F=\frac{G m^2}{d^2}$
where, $G=6.67 \times 10^{11} \mathrm{~N}-\mathrm{m}^2 \mathrm{~kg}^{-2}$
$\therefore \quad F=\frac{6.67 \times 10^{-11} \times 2^2}{1^2}=2.67 \times 10^{-10} \mathrm{~N}$
