(a) For Hydrogen atom,

For ground state, n=1, energy is E1=-13.612=-13.6 eV

For second excited state, n=3,

Energy is E2=-13.632=-1.5 eV

(b) lonization energy is defined for ground state only, so ionized stated energy =-E1=13.6 eV
