When these capacitors are individually connected to a voltage source of 1V, the energy stored in the capacitor C2 is 4 times that of C1. If these capacitors are connected in series, their effective capacitance will be:

Given C1+C2=10μF ...(i)
412C1V2=12C2V2
4C1=C2...(ii)
From equation (i) and (ii)
C1=2μF
C2=8μF
If they are in series
Ceq=C1C2C1+2=1.6μF
