We know that,

$E=-\frac{GM}{R^3}\times \overrightarrow{r} \left(\mathrm{i}\mathrm{f}\mathrm{ }r<R\right)$ So, E is directly proportional to r and there is a negative sign. Hence graph will be straight line in 2nd quadrant starting from origin like the case of uniform motion in negative direction.
