Correct order of reactivity of following compounds towards Grignard reagent?
  1. $\mathrm{I}>\mathrm{II}>\mathrm{III}$
  2. $\mathrm{II}>\mathrm{I}>\mathrm{III}$
  3. $\mathrm{II}>\mathrm{III}>\mathrm{I}$
  4. $\mathrm{I}>\mathrm{III}>\mathrm{II}$

Solution

$\mathrm{CH}_{3}$ group give $+M$ and $+I$ but $+M$ work only at ortho and para position. Reactivity $\propto$ positive charge on carbonyl carbon so that's why reactivity II $>\mathrm{I}>$ III.
