Solution

Let Manisha's age be x and mother's be y. Statement 1: y = x + 24. Statement 2: (x + 5)/(y + 5) = 3/5. Neither alone is sufficient, but combining: 5(x + 5) = 3(y + 5), substituting y = x + 24 gives 5x + 25 = 3x + 87, so 2x = 62 and x = 31. Both statements together are sufficient.
