The most serious effect of the delpetion of ozone layer is that the UV rays coming from the sun can pass through the stratosphere and reach the surface of the earth. IT has been found that with increase in the exposure to UV rays, the chance for occurance of skin cancer, increases, also exposure of eye to UV rays damages the cornea and lens of the eye and may cause cataract and even blindness.
