Blood pressure in the mammalian aorta is maximum during
  1. systole of the left atrium
  2. diastole of the right ventricle
  3. systole of the left ventricle
  4. diastole of the right atrium

Solution

Left ventricle drives blood into the aorta during the ventricular systole. Aorta receives blood directly from ventricles and supplies blood to all the body parts. The greater the stroke volume, the greater the change in the aortic pressure. Hence, blood pressure in aorta will be maximum when left ventricle pumps the blood into the aorta.
