Solution

For the given circuit, as the diode is forward biased, current will flow through it. $\mathrm{i}=\frac{\mathrm{V}}{\mathrm{R}}=\frac{3-1}{100}=\frac{2}{100}=\frac{20}{1000}=20 \mathrm{~mA}$ .
