A=a2153112b2413561c2 and B=2a3522b8142c-3 are two matrices such that the sum of the principal diagonal elements of both A and B are equal, then the product of the principal diagonal elements of B is
  1. 4
  2. 0
  3. -4
  4. -12

Solution

Principal diagonal elements of A and B are a2, b2, c2 and 2a, 2b, 2c-3.

According to given condition, a2+b2+c2=2a+2b+2c-3

a2+1-2a+b2+1-2b+c2+1-2c=0

a-12+b-12+c-12=0

a-1=0, b-1=0, c-1=0

a=1, b=1, c=1

Now, 2a2b2c-3

Putting the values of a, b and c we get,

=2×2×-1=-4
