Given,
Moment of inertia of wheel I=2 kg m2

Initial angular velocity

ω0=2πN60=2π×5060=106π rad s-1

Final angular velocity ω=0

Time required t=1 min=60 s

Using first equation of motion-

ω=ω0+αt

  0=106π+α 60
  α=-π36 rad s-2

Torque required τ=Iα=2×π36=π18 Nm
