Given, \(M_{\mathrm{H}_2}: M_{\mathrm{O}_2}=1: 5\) Mean kinetic energy per molecule, \(\begin{aligned} & \bar{E}=\frac{3}{2} K_B T \\ & \bar{E} \propto T \end{aligned}\) Hence, mean kinetic energy of gases, depends on the temperature only. Since, temperature of both gases is same. Hence, ratio of their mean kinetic energy will be \(1: 1\).
