A vector in x-y plane makes an angle of 30o with y-axis. The magnitude of y-component of vector is 23. The magnitude of x-component of the vector will be :

The angle made by the vector on x axis is 

θ=90°-30°=60°

It is given that

 ay=23⇒asin60°=23⇒a32=23⇒a=4
