Sol. As, $f\propto\dfrac{1}{l}\Rightarrow \dfrac{l_{2}}{l_{1}}=\dfrac{f_{1}}{f_{2}}$ $\Rightarrow l_{2}=l_{1}\left(\dfrac{f_{1}}{f_{2}}\right)$ $\qquad = 50\times\left(\dfrac{270}{1000}\right)=13.5\ \mathrm{cm}$ Answer: $13.5\ \mathrm{cm}$
