(a) State the reasons which lead to hypermetropia. With the help of suitable diagram, explain this defect of vision and its correction.

a. In hypermetropia a person cannot see near by objects clearly. Its is due to shortening of the eye ball or due to increase in focal length of eye lens. To correct hypermetropia, a convex lens of suitable focal length is needed. b.
