(a) Reactions in which there is an exchange of ions between the reactants. (b) (i) *HCl + NaOH → NaCl + H2O (or any other reaction) *Acid reacts with base forming salt and water. (ii) *Na2SO4 + BaCl2 → BaSO4 + 2NaCl (or any other reaction) *Insoluble substance or precipitate (BaSO4) is formed.
