GAMETE INTRA-FALLOPIAN TRANSFER (GIFT):
It is also one of the assisted methods of conception carried out to defects like blockage of the opening in the uterus and fallopian tube. In this method, both the sperms and ova are collected from male and female partners and directly transferred into one of the fallopian tubes separately by artificial method. In fallopian tube fertilization and early development of fertilized egg takes place naturally (In-vivo fertilization) and followed by transportation of blastocyst into the uterine cavity for implantation to cause pregnancy.
