The bird starts moving from first car towards the other and is moving with the speed of $36 \mathrm{kmh}^{-1}$ where the two cars were separated by $36 \mathrm{~km}$. The total distance covered by the bird before the cars meet each other is

Solution

The total time after the two cars which meet $ =\frac{\text { Total distance }}{\text { Relative velocity of car w.r.t each other }} $ $ T=\frac{36}{54+36} \Rightarrow T=\frac{36}{90}=0.4 h $ In this duration, the distance travel by bird $=36 \times 0.4=14.4 \mathrm{~km}=14400 \mathrm{~m}$
